Ranking All 36 Champions League Clubs by Wage Bills (2025/26 Season)

In the 2025/26 Champions League, the 36 participating clubs show contrasting ambitions —some clubs from top 5 leagues have massive wage bills dominated by a few players salaries, while on the other end you find leaner payrolls which heavily rely on efficient recruitment and academy graduates to stay competitive in the competition.

These wage bills only include first-team base salaries as mentioned by tier 1 sources (reporters and sites like BBC, Guardian, L'Équipe, Calcio e Finanza, UEFA annual reports etc).

These wage bill numbers do not include player bonues and coaching or other staff salaries. UEFA release total financial breakdown of european clubs every year and it comes with total money spent by every clubs on player salaries, bonuses and staff salaries including none football. 

According to several tier 1 reporters, first team salaries are usually 60% to 75% of wage bill mentioned in UEFA Report.
