Carlo Ancelotti Is The Highest-Paid Coach At World Cup 2026

Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti tops the rankings with an estimated annual salary of €9.5 million, making him comfortably the highest-paid coach at the tournament.

England's Thomas Tuchel ranks second at €5.8 million per year, while United States manager Mauricio Pochettino completes the top three with an estimated salary of €5.2 million. Germany's Julian Nagelsmann (€4.8m), Portugal's Roberto Martinez (€4.0m), Uzbekistan's Fabio Cannavaro (€4.0m) and France's Didier Deschamps (€3.8m) also rank among the tournament's highest earners.

Collectively, the ten highest-paid managers at the World Cup earn more than €45 million per year in base salary alone.

Lowest-Paid Coaches At World Cup 2026

At the opposite end of the ranking, several nations operate on significantly smaller budgets. Curaçao manager Dick Advocaat is the lowest-paid coach at the tournament with an estimated annual salary of just €96,000. Cabo Verde's Bubista (€110,000) and New Zealand's Darren Bazeley (€130,000) also rank among the lowest earners.

Gap between the highest and lowest-paid coaches is enormous. Carlo Ancelotti's reported salary is nearly 100 times greater than Dick Advocaat's annual earnings with Curaçao. However, World Cup history shows that spending the most on a manager does not guarantee success.
