1. "Big Three" dominate international football
Out of the 48 teams competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 37 nations (77%) are supplied by one of the three biggest sportswear manufacturers - adidas, Nike or Puma.
Only 11 teams (22.9%) wear kits from other brands such as Kelme, Umbro, Marathon, Reebok, Kappa and regional manufacturers

Germany's current adidas agreement is worth €50 million annually, but from 2027 Nike will pay approximately €100 million per season the first nine-figure national team kit deal in football history.
The new agreement is worth double Germany's current deal and will become the biggest international kit sponsorship ever signed.
