Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven Purse Payouts

Oleksandr Usyk will face Rico Verhoeven in a crossover heavyweight fight on Saturday, 23 May 2026 as headline event for DAZN Pay-Per-View event which will be taking place in the shadows of Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. 

Usyk who is one of the highest earning athlete of last three years is set for another mega payday. While Verhoeven who spent 12 years as heavyweight kickboxing champion is making his boxing debut and will clear his career best purse thanks to his Riyadh Season's Saudi deal.

How much both fighters are making in this fight?

Oleksandre Usyk is guranteed $40 million from this fight plus potential PPV bonuses upto $7 million taking his total earnings to reported $47 million.

Rico Verhoeven on the other hand, is set to earn his career best purse of $10 million guaranteed plus PPV bonuses which can elevate his final earnings to reported $17 million from this one fight alone thanks to his Saudi deal.

Oleksandr Usyk enters the fight after a historic run as one of boxing’s biggest earners over the last three years.

His rematch against Daniel Dubois in July 2025 reportedly earned him around $132 million, making it the biggest disclosed purse of his career so far.

Before that, Usyk reportedly earned $114 million for his rematch against Tyson Fury in December 2024 after making around $105 million in the first Fury fight earlier that same year.
