Karim Benzema joined Al-Ittihad Saudi club back in 2023 after his Real Madrid contract expired. He signed 3-year (2023/26) contract with the Saudi club which offered him total package of €200 million a-year including massive signing-on bonus and endorsement deals. However his base salary is reported to be around €50 million per-year which in Saudi Arabia is almost tax free.

2021 Contract Extension (Real Madrid)
20 August 2021 - Karim Benzema signed financially improved 2-year contract until 2023 with increased base salary of €24 million per-year. It was his last Real Madrid contract and during this contract he won Ballon d'Or for his 2021/22 performances.

Karim Benzema joined Real Madrid from Lyon for reported €35 million in 2009. His initial contract was 6-year deal with base salary of €7 million/year tripling his earnings from Lyon. His salary was increased to €12 million/year (gross) with new 5-year deal in August 2014. He signed 4-year contract in September 2014 increasing his salary to €16.6 million/year. His salary was increased to €18 million/year with February 2022 extension.
