Formula 1
Formula 1 is the most popular and lucrative motorsport in the world. In 2025 F1 is projected to generate over $4 billion in revenue which will be 20% more then previous year. 2025 will be 5th consecutive year where Formula 1 has generated more revenue then the year before. Majority of the yearly revenue is generated via TV & Streaming rights deals, annual fees to host a Grand Prixs and sponsorship deals.
Majority of the yearly revenue is distributed among teams based on yearly constructor's championship ranking and legacy payments to teams like Ferrari and Mercedes etc. Teams then use that money to sign drivers on short/long-term contracts with fixed yearly salaries. Max Verstappen is currently the highest paid F1 driver with his contract with Red Bull earning him around $65 million a-year. Not all drivers are paid the same, some are on very low paying contracts and some are getting the biggest salaries in sports. We breakdown each driver's contract and how much every driver is earning now and their previous contracts.
