2023 Extension
9 November 2023 - Simeone signed fresh 3 and half-year contract extension until 2027 where he accepted 25% lower salary in favour of longer contract. His current salary is €23.5 million (€12.5m/net) per season. However he is entitled to bonuses of €2.5 million for winning La Liga or Champions League.

February 2019 - Simeone signed another financially improved 2-year extension with Atletico Madrid keeping him at the club until 2022. His salary was increased to €26 million per season.
