Average salary in Italian Serie A is around €1.5 to €1.8 million (gross) per year. Clubs in the top half usualy pay higher salaries while average drops massively in in the bottom half of the table. In 2025/26 season Serie A clubs combine wage bills will exceeded €1.3 billion which will be second highest behind Premier League. 

'Calcio e Finanza' is one of the reputed italian sports media company and they collect financial data from all clubs and reveal how much each club is spending on player wages. Inter Milan is currently the highest spenders with over €142.2 million spent on player salaries in 2025/26 season. Juventus (€119.7m), AC Milan (€117.2) are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
