Roberto Piccoli completed his permanent switch to Cagliari from Atalanta for around €12 million in transfer fee back in July 2025. He signed 4-year (2025/29) contract with the club becoming the highest paid player in the squad with yearly base salary of €1.1 million (net) / €2m (gross) per season including bonuses. He had already spent 2024/25 season on loan at Cagliari who triggered the buy clause at the end of the season.
