About Al-Ettifaq

Al-Ettifaq Saudi Football Club has the fourth highest wage bill in Saudi Pro League as they will be spending €45 million on player salaries for 2025/26 season. The average yearly salary in the first-team squad is around €1.5 million which is a lot less then what the top three clubs in the league are spending.

However, they have made it clear that they wont be spending and giving out massive contracts to some of the cast off european talent. This move will surely reduced their wage bill and help them sustain in the league if TV revenues do not improve for the Saudi League. Currently their highest paid player in the squad is Georginio Wijnaldum who is earning €15 million a-year (tax free) into his last year of the contract.
