Max Dowman

23 October 2025 - Max Dowman has signed academy scholarship contract at Arsenal which is usually given to highly talented under-17 players. Dowman signed 2-year scholarship deal which will be followed by first-pro contract when he turns 17 on December, 31 2026.

According to Arsenal academy's wage structure players under 16 can earn maximum of £350 per week / £18,500 per season and can not sign professional contract until they turn 17. 

However Arsenal can offer bigger incentives without professional contract to players who turn 16 to keep them at the club until they are able to sign professional deals. These contracts are known as pre-contracts. Both Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly had similar deals at the club before they signed professional contracts.
