AFC Bournemouth has signed Bafodé Diakité from Lille (Ligue 1) for reported £30 million plus £4.3m add-ons deal. He signed 5-year (2025/30) contract with the club more then doubling his salary from what he was earning at Lille. His salary at Bournemouth will be around £60,000 per week / £3.12m a-year (gross) per season.
Bafodé Diakité initially joined Lille from Toulouse back in 2022 and was earning only €360,000 (gross) per season salary. However he signed financially improved 4-year (2024/28) contract which tripled his salary to €1.56m a-year.
