Ferland Mendy demanded financially improved deal in 2024 which Real Madrid were reluctant to agree. However after negotiating what is a highly incentive based contract, Real Madrid extended his contract for further three years. His base salary remained the same but performance related bonuses of around €2.3 million a year were added into contract depending on certain number of appearances in a season.
