Rodrygo Silva de Goes
Rodrygo Silva de Goes more commonly known as 'Rodrygo' joined Real Madrid back in 2019 from Santos. Real Madrid paid €40 million in transfer fee for then 18-year old Rodrygo. His initial salary at the club was very modest as he was earning only €3.5 million a-year (gross) in first two seasons at the club. However contract was structured in such a way that salary would automatically increase depending on first-team appearances. By 2021/22 season he was already earning around €8.3 million a-year.
His performances in 2021/23 earned him a new 5-year deal (2023/28) in November 2023 which took his salary to €12.5 million a-year (gross) / €6 million a-year (net). Arsenal and Bayern Munich have been in touch with Real Madrid and Rodrygo camp for a possible transfer. Rodrygo is willing to move but demanding much higher salary around €10 million a-year (net) which both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are reluctant to agree.
