On 30 January 2025, Habib Beye was appointed Rennes (Ligue 1) manager on short-term 6 month contract but with club holding option to extend until 2026. His initial salary during the first 6 months was €90,000 per-month (€1 million a-year). However his contract was automatically renewed for 2025/26 season with increased salary of €125,000 per month (€1.5 million a-year). His current contract can be extended until 2027 if Rennes qualify for European competitions.
