Athletic Bilbao signed club record €5 million per season kit deal with British sportswear brand Castore in the 2023. Castore replaced New Balance as the club's kit supplier for next 7-years (2023/30) and Athletic Bilbao will be earning €1.5 million more with Castore deal compared to what they were getting with New Balance.

This financially improved kit deal put Athletic Bilbao 4th in the list of most lucrative kit contracts in Spanish football however its still way too low compared to Barcelona, Real Madrid who are earning €120 million, €117.6 million per season respectively. Athletic managed to negotiate percentage of proceeds from Athletic related products on Castore platforms while also keeping the control of physical stores in Spain.
