According to recent agreement, A footballer aged 21 or higher who has contract with La Liga club must get minimum salary of €182,000 per season. Which has to be paid in 14 intallments every year including 1 payment of €13,000 per month and extra payment in June and November.

While footballers aged 21 or higher in Spanish second division must get minimum yearly salary of €91,00 per year. Salary is paid in similar 14 payments (€6,500 per month) in a year including 2 in June and November.

Players can only sign professional contracts when they turn 18 year old according to spanish law. However players who are ready for top flight usually sign scholarship contracts with respective clubs until they turn 18. Lamin Yamal had one of the biggest Scholarship contract ever handed to under 18 player as he was earning around €3 million a-year during 2024/25 season on Barcelona's academy contract. However there is no minimum wage requirement for players under 18 as some academy players are only getting paid €750 euro per month or even less.

Minimum wage for players between 18 to 21 years age in La Liga increases to €1,000 per month (€52,000 per year).
