300 Million Reasons Behind Potential Bruno Fernandes Al-Hilal Move

Bruno Fernandes made his intentions clear to Manchester United after their 2025 Europa League final defeat against Tottenham, that either United need to put together an competitive squad for next season or he is willing to move away from the club which could benefit all parties. We explain why it make sense for all parties involved.
Saudi club Al-Hilal has made contact with Fernandes camp for a potential move where they are offering Fernandes $200 million package to join the club. They want him to join immediately so that he will be available for FIFA Club World Cup. They have given him less then a week to make up his mind while he is already on post-season tour with United in Asia. However Fernandes agent has meet with Al-Hilal and we might expect a deal finalised in next few days. Now why does it make sense for all parties involved ?
An Offer Fernandes can not refuse:
Fernandes is currently earning around £280,000 per week with United but Al-Hilal has an offer of £700,000 a week (tax-free) package. That amounts to around $200 million for 3 year contract (including all bonuses). Fernandes is already 30, still in his peak and United are not in a position to challenge for big trophies anytime soon. If he wants to stay in Europe and win trophies no european club will offer him such financial reward. So out of the three parties involved, Fernandes looks to be getting the best deal.
Manchester United will get $100 million for a 30-year old:
Fernandes has been United's best player since he joined the club back in 2019. However with him as focal point, United have been struggling control games because of Fernandes kamikaze style. If this deal were to happen United would get $100 million as transfer fee which is huge considering there have been only a few transfers in the past where a club got $100 million for a player already into his 30s. United can use that money and back Ruben Amorim with players he wants for the 3-4-3 system.
Whats in it for Al-Hilal ?
Saudis have shown they are serious about developing football in the region. After few years of crazy money spent on has beens, Saudi clubs are only looking to make deals on par with European clubs. They are not looking for players who have past their best years for example De Bruyne was hoping for Saudi offer which never came. Saudi clubs are looking to bring in players still in their prime and Fernandes is one of them.
Beside, there is rebranded FIFA Club World Cup coming next month where financial stakes are huge. Al-Hilal want Bruno to be part of the squad when they play Club world cup next month in USA.
What are the chances for deal to happen ?
Fernandes agent has been working on the deal for best part of last two months. However in last couple of days, his agent Miguel Pinho has been in Ryadh to meet Al-Hilal representatives over the last couple of days. The recent news is, Al-hilal has made their offer and now the ball is in Fernandes camp. He has been giver 72 hours to decide while Manchester United are willing to let go their captain for $100 million.
