Chris Wood moved to Nottingham Forest from Newcastle United on permanent move for £15 million in transfer fee. He initially signed for Nottingham on loan with obligation to buy back in January 2025. However his switch was made permanent in June 2023 as he signed 2-year deal until 2025 which was later extended for another 2-years (2025/27) with slight increase in salary. His current 2-year contract earns him £100,000 a-week / £5.2m a-year (gross) salary making him one of the highest paid players in the squad only behind Nikola Milenkovic. Chris Wood has spent his entire professional career in Premier League at several clubs with average weekly wage of around £60,000 per week. In total he has earned around £40 million over the course of 13-years in Premier League.
