Burnley FC had one of the biggest wage bills in Championship during 2024/25 season. They spent around £32.2 million on player salaries which paid off with promotion to Premier League. However to survive in Premier League they will need to invest in the squad with Premier League level players and we expect their wage bill top rise significantly during 2025/26 season.
Current average salary in the squad is in region of £16,757 per week which is alright in Championship but for Premier League its not enough to attract players who can help Burnley survive in Premier League. Josh Cullen is currently Burnley's highest paid player with weekly wage of £40,000 per week. But with inclusion of players like Kyle Walker, Loum Tchaouna, Quilindschy Hartman, Axel Tuanzebe and Max Weiß who no longer will be highest paid by the time 2025/26 season begins.
