Burnley FC has completed the permanent signing of Lesley Ugochukwu from Chelsea for reported £25 million transfer. He signed 5-year (2025/30) contract with slight increase in salary to compare to what he was getting at Chelsea. He will be earning £50,000 a-week / £2.6m a-year (gross) at Burnely becoming one of their highest paid player in the squad.
His previous contract at Chelsea earned him £45,000 per week with his 7-year deal signed back in 2023. He spent the 2024/25 season at Southampton who paid 50% of his salary during his stay with the club.
