UEFA Nations League 2026 Prize Money (Breakdown)

UEFA Nations League will return in 2026/27 season with top european nations battling for glory and millions in prize money. UEFA are likely to increase the prize money pot for UEFA Nations League for 2026/27 tournament.

The total pool for the 2026/27 Nations League is expected to be around €80–€90 million, depending on UEFA’s final distribution and TV revenue growth.

How the Payment System Works:

All european national teams participate in the Nations League with the format designed on league basis. 54 teams (55 including Russia) are divided into 4 leagues. League A, B and C have 16 teams each. While League D have 6 teams. 

League A, B and C are further divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each while League D have two group of 3 teams each. 

Each league has its own prize pool and own set of payments. Each nation gets a base “solidarity” payment, bonuses for topping their group. However the knock outs and finals only takes place for League A. 

UEFA Nations League Knockouts Prize money:

League B, C, and D end after their group stages with teams earning promotion or relegation via playoffs.  

League A’s four group winners and four runners-up qualify for a Final 8 mini-tournament — Quarterfinal, Semi-finals, Third-place match, and The final — to crown the overall UEFA Nations League Champion.
