    PCB has established an yearly central contract system where they announce around 20 to 25 players every year who represent Pakistan in different international cricket format matches. The latest Central Contracts were announced for 2024/25 season where 25 players were included in the list. PCB's Central Contract is further divided into several categories and you can see the entire breakdown in the table below.

    PCB Central Contracts Breakdown:

    FIXED Monthly Retainer: PCB central contract is offered for 36 month period (2023-2026) in which performances are monitored and players are sorted/removed/included into different categories based on performances in last 12 months period. 

    Category A: Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan get Rs. 4.5 million ($16,000) monthly salary.

    Category B: Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah get  Rs. 3 million ($10,500) monthly salary.

    Category C: Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Noman Ali, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel and Shadab Khan. Rs1.5 million ($5,500) monthly salary.

    Category D: Aamir Jamal, Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Hurraira, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr and Usman Khan. Rs. 750,000 ($2,700) monthly salary.

    Match Fee: Apart from the fixed monthly retainer/salary offered to players in central contracts, there are also match fee which is paid to players on per match bases. Match fee is same for each category player. Below table shows how much each player can earn from their central contract with PCB. Test match is Rs. 1.25 million ($4,500), while the fee for an ODI is Rs.645,000 ($2,300), and for a T20I, it is Rs. 420,000 ($1,500)

    ICC Revenue Share: PCB and players also agreed for ICC revenue share where 3% of total revenue coming from ICC to PCB will be shared between central contracted players. That amounts of around $2 million a year of $36 million PCB is suppose to get from ICC every year. That means players in Category A will get Rs. 2 million ($7,000) per month from ICC share. Category B players will get  Rs. 1.5 million ($5,300), Category C players will get Rs. 1 million ($3,600) and Category D players will get Rs. 517,000 ($1850).

    Domestic Matches Fee: PCB also announced there players will get Rs. 628,000 ($2,200) per match for playing domestic four-day matches. Rs. 310,000 ($1,100) per match for playing one-day domestic matches and Rs. 210,000 ($750) per match for T20 domestic matches.
