Real Oviedo has been promoted back to Spanish La Liga but now the challenge begins of survival in the league. Their wage bill is mostly likely to be the lowest in La Liga for 2025/26 season. Their current wage bill stands at only €6.50 million (gross) with average salary in the squad only €290,000 (gross) per season.
However due to clauses on player contracts which include certain percentage of salary increase if Real Oviedo play in La Liga, we can expect their wage bill to rise significantly plus if they want to survive in Spanish top division they will have to bring in La liga level players.
They have already brought in Luka Ilic (Red Star), Ilyas Chaira (Girona), Alberto Reina (free-transfer), Brandon Dominguès, Horațiu Moldovan (Loan from Atletico) and Salomón Rondón (Loan) to boost the squad for 2025/26 season.
