Aston Villa are set to sign Evann Guessand from Nice (Ligue 1) for a reported £30.3 million transfer fee including add-ons. He will signed 5-year (2025/30) contract with Villa and become their fifth most expensive signing. His salary at Nice was only €900,000 (£785k) gross per season and number of reporters have quoted his salary at Villa to be in range of £90,000 per week (£4.68m a-year).
Evann Guessand had offer from Saudi Arabia with much bigger salary but he choose to stay in Europe. He had already agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace before Aston Villa swoop in to hijack the transfer.
