Scottish Premiership Prize Money Breakdown (2025/26)

SPFL (Scottish Premier Football League) announced record £46.8 million prize money and parachute payments to be made to professional clubs in Scottish league pyramid. Majority of the money will go to clubs in Scottish Premiership. We breakdown entire prize money pool available for Scottish clubs in 2025/26 season.
Scottish Premiership TV rights deals:
Most of the money is driven from lucrative TV & Streaming rights deals for Scottish league including both domestic and international rights. SPFL managed to negotiate better terms of SkySports for the 3-year (2024/27) where they got £4.8 million more then previous three year deal.
2025/26 season will see the biggest prize money pool distributed among Premiership teams and lower division sides. A total of £46.7 million fund is expected to be distributed among 42 teams. Premiership prize money fund is around 80% of the total fund (£37.3million) while rest of the money is set to be distributed among 30 lower league SPFL clubs including lower divisions.
*Below is the estimated breakdown of prize money fund (£37.3million) distribution among 12 premiership teams which is based on how they finish in the league. League winners will take home 13.40% of the total prize money fund set for Premiership.

The above payments are estimates for the upcoming 2025/26 season as SPFL will announce the final accounts by April 2026. There different between final payments and payments listed above will be not more then 1 to 2% difference. Point to be noted here is, these payments do not include UEFA Solidarity payments and gate receipts.
