Spanish La Liga Prize Money (2025/26 Breakdown)

La Liga Prize money is derived mainly from domestic and overseas tv & streaming rights revenue plus central la liga sponsorship deals. Spanish La Liga has 5-year (2022/27) domestic tv rights deal worth €4.95 billion in total. It comes down to around €990 million per season. La Liga also signed extension overseas tv and streaming rights taking yearly revenue from overseas market to around €897 million (per season).

La Liga Prize Money Distribution 2025/26 ?
From this yearly €1.887 billion total tv revenue, €1.4 billion will be distributed among 20 La Liga clubs rest is used for payments to La Liga 2, grassroots and La Liga, administration, payments to relegated clubs etc.
For 2025/26 season, La Liga clubs can expect to get share of the €1.4 billion TV rights revenue which is distributed among 20 teams according to three payment pillars.
1). Equal payments: 50% of total pool (€700 million) -- every club will get €35 million from this pool.
2). Merit Based Payments: 25% of total pool (€350 million) -- 17% for 1st place, 15% for 2nd place and so on all the way to .25% for 20th place team.
3). Social Payments: 25% of total pool (€350 million) -- Large chunk of this goes to Real Madrid, Barcelona. While it drops significantly for bottom clubs.
How much each club can earn from 2025/26 La Liga prize money fund ?
Now we breakdown how much each club can earn from 2025/26 TV rights distribution. We have put Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico separately because of their historic standings in La Liga and assuming they finish in top 3, they will be making much more money compared to the rest. If any other team breaks into the top three they will not be making same money because Social pot is dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona regardless where they finish in the league.
