Spanish Super Cup 2026 Prize Money (Breakdown)

Supercopa de España also known as 'Spanish Super Cup' internationally will once against return to Saudi Arabia in January 2026 where it will keep its 4-team format. Since Barcelona and Real Madrid have taken all four qualifying place (finished 1st and second in the league and played the Cop Del Rey final). Two places goes to next highest ranked teams in La Liga which are Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao for 2026 tournament in Riyadh.

Spanish Super Cup Prize Money Breakdown:

Since the tournament is taking place in Saudi Arabia, they will pay lump sump €40 million to Spanish FA for hosting the tournament and for TV rights which Saudi's sell themselves. From this €40 million, 50% (€20million) is kept by Spanish FA while the remaining €20 million will be distributed among 2026 participants.

However the distribution is not equal because its largely based on how historic performances in La Liga and Copa Del Rey. Teams with more titles won in last 5 years get bigger share while also their TV Pull is taken into account. Here is how the €20 million will be distributed among four teams based on historic and performance based criteria.

Barcelona and Real Madrid will get Guaranteed €6 million each. While Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club will get €2 million each. Reaching the final get teams €1 million extra while the winning team get another €2 million.

*if Real Madrid or Barcelona were to win the Spanish Super Cup they can clear as much as €9 million. If Atletico or Athletic were to win the 2026 tournament they can clear around €5 million.
